Conference Mode
The International Conference on Action Research in Language Learning (ICARLL 2026) will be held entirely in person at the Gurney Bay Hotel in Penang. Located on an island rich in cultural heritage and history, this setting invites participants to immerse themselves in action research in language education in a place that itself speaks volumes. During the conference, you will have the opportunity not only to engage in scholarly exchange, but also to explore the local culture, heritage and seaside ambiance of Penang. All presentations and workshops will take place on site, designed so that you can experience the full value of ICARLL 2026 with all your senses.
Conference Language
Presentations at ICARLL 2026 will be conducted exclusively in English and Malay. Registered presenters may choose either language for their session, depending on what best supports their research and communication. Participants may also select sessions based on their language preference, ensuring a clear, engaging and accessible conference experience for everyone.
Presentation Duration
Each presenter at ICARLL 2026 is allocated a total of 25 minutes for their session: 20 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for the Q&A segment. All presenters are expected to adhere strictly to the assigned time to ensure smooth scheduling and an organised conference flow.
Presentation Devices
Laptops will be provided for presenters using tools such as PowerPoint / Canva. Presenters are encouraged to bring their files on a USB drive and also store a backup in cloud storage. If you plan to use your own device, please ensure that you bring the necessary adapters to ensure compatibility with the venue’s equipment
